Services
General Care Services
Negaunee Veterinary Clinic offers a wide range of veterinary services to keep your pet healthy. Some of the services we offer are wellness exams and vaccines, surgical services, dental and diagnostic procedures.
Emergency Care
We have a veterinarian on duty 7 days a week who is trained to handle any emergency your pet has. If you feel your pet needs immediate care do not hesitate to call our emergency line at 1-906-222-3692.
Preventative Care
An annual physical examination is important in preventing diseases before they become a serious problem for your pet. During your appointment we will discuss the proper vaccination protocol needed for your pet, preventative medical and dental care, diet and nutrition counseling.
Dental Care
Proper dental care can help prevent painful tooth infections and gum disease. Our dental services include teeth cleaning, polishing and dental extractions if necessary. Good oral health can help with your pet’s breath but more importantly may extend your pet’s life.
Surgical Services
At Negaunee Veterinary Clinic we offer a full range of surgical services. Some examples are:
- tumor/mass removal
- spays, neuters and other routine surgery
In addition to scheduled surgeries we also do minor surgical emergencies during our regular business hours as well as after hours.
Diagnostic Services
It is important to us that we are able to come up with a diagnosis in a timely manner. We have advanced diagnostics in house that enable us to do so. Our diagnostic services include a full in-house lab, digital radiography and ultrasound.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound is a noninvasive diagnostic tool that can be quickly used to examine the internal organs and other structures inside your pet’s body. It does not involve radiation and has no known side effects. This technique is often used in conjunction with other diagnostic methods to ensure a proper diagnosis.
Full Lab Services
We offer full in-house lab services. This enables us to perform serum chemistry, hematology, cortisol levels, thyroid hormone levels, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also recommend pre-surgical bloodwork for all our surgery patients.
Digital Radiology
We are proud to offer digital radiology. This is state-of-the-art technology that allows us to accurately and quickly form a diagnosis. Digital radiology uses less radiation than traditional x-rays, it’s noninvasive and is used in conjunction with other diagnostic tools.
Cremation Services
Negaunee Veterinary Clinic offers cremation services. The company we use is called Jacobs Funeral Home. They are a very dependable company and work out of Iron Mountain. If you have any questions about this service do not hesitate to ask our front staff.
